The Gloucester County Democratic Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Abingdon Fire and Rescue Station 5, 3259 Providence Road, Hayes. Dr. Quentin Kidd, professor at Christopher Newport University and director of the Judy Ford Wason Center for Public Policy, will discuss his new book, "The Rational Southerner: Black Mobilization, Republican Growth, and the Partisan Transformation of the American South."
