Deltaville Museum to hold Shrimp and BBQ Dinner and Dance

Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park, now celebrating its 20th anniversary year, will kick off the season with its annual Shrimp and Barbecue Dinner and Dance on Friday, May 14, at the park at 287 Jackson Creek Road, Deltaville.

Social hour begins at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 and dancing to The Taters at 7 o’clock.

Tickets are limited to 200 and are $40 per person. They are available by mail or email through the museum office.

Activities for opening weekend will continue on Saturday. The park opens at 8 a.m., with breakfast available at the Tea House, and the first Holly Point Market of the year will open at 9 a.m. Restored workboat tours and cruises begin at 10 a.m., and the day will end with a special Groovin’ in the Park performance by Tom Euler at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Tom Euler Trio at 6-8.
