Deltaville Boatyard employee earns certification

John Gaddis, a technician at Deltaville Boatyard, has earned his American Boat and Yacht Council certification in Marine Systems, according to a release from the company.

This certification requires passing of the marine systems exam as well as two years of experience, showing excellence in portable water systems, marine sanitation systems, tankage, electrical installations, air conditioning and refrigeration, pump systems, steering and control, accessory control systems, and fire-protection, as well as general knowledge and boatyard etiquette.

Gaddis joins six other ABYC technicians, including four ABYC Master Technicians, in receiving this certification. “While showing continued dedication to his career path in the marine industry, his achievements also reflect on the excellence in the staff at the boatyard, who continues to emphasize and support our employees to further their education,” the Deltaville Boatyard release stated.
