Deltas win twice, host 3 home games this weekend

The Deltaville Deltas rode two strong pitching performances to decisive victories last weekend, defeating the Tappahannock Tides by a score of 8-1 on the road Friday night, and the Chesapeake Sharks, 14-5, on Saturday night in Deltaville.

The wins improve Deltaville to 11-1 overall, and 10-1 in league play, and they sit just ahead of the 11-2 Richmond Team Woody in the Richmond National Adult Baseball Association league standings.

This weekend, the Deltas play an important three-game set, all at home. On Friday night, the Deltas take on the Tides for the final time this season in a 7:30 game. On Saturday, a partial doubleheader will take place against the second-place Team Woody, in a matchup that will likely decide first and second place in league standings.
