Guinea Heritage Association’s next Fourth Friday program will feature Mike Burnett, owner of Salty Water Decoys. It will be held from 6-7 p.m. next Friday, June 27, at Buck’s Store Museum, 8850 Guinea Road, Bena. It is free and open to the public.
Burnett will share the process behind carving duck decoys, as well as the story of how he got started 10 years ago after realizing that by using only his hands, carving tools, and paint, he could create one-of-a-kind pieces of art that also serve as functional hunting tools.
Some of Burnett’s hand-carved decoys will be available for viewing. Light refreshments will be served.
