Debora Smith Pointer, 73, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Gloucester, Debora grew up at Gloucester Point with her siblings and her late parents, Paul and Grace Smith. She graduated from Gloucester High School in 1970 and continued her education at MCV, where she began a dedicated career as a skilled laboratory technician.
Beyond her professional life, Debora was a devoted mother of three and a proud grandmother. She will be remembered most for her love of family and her remarkable talent in the kitchen—a true natural-born chef whose culinary creations brought joy to all who knew her.
Debora is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Pointer; her children, Brian Hill, Casey Hill (Stacey), and Taelor Antunes; her cherished grandchildren, Gabriel, Carrington, Zoe Margaret, and Adelise; and her sister, Jody Smith.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Ed Walker of Bellamy United Methodist Church.
