Sunday is the deadline to sign up for Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism youth basketball for ages 12-14 and 15-18. Each league has boys’ and girls’ divisions. Depending on the numbers registered, the divisions may be combined.  The registration fee is $47.

BEST YEARS TRIPS: A pair of Best Years Club trips are being organized. On Friday, Jan. 24, the Best Years Club will go to the Virgnia Beach Convention Center for the Virginia Flower and Garden Expo. The bus leaves at 1:30 p.m. and returns at 5:30. The fee is $31 and the deadline to register is Jan. 12. On Wednesday, Feb. 5, the group will see a matinee of the musical “Grease” at the Riverside Dinner Theater in Fredericksburg. The bus leaves at 9:30 a.m. and returns at 6:30 p.m. The fee is $99 and Jan. 22 is the deadline to sign up.
