The deadline to submit an application to participate in this year’s Mathews Christmas Parade is Sunday, Dec. 7, before 3 p.m. There is no fee to enter.
Sponsored by the Mathews County Visitor and Information Center, the parade will be held, rain or shine, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13. It will have the theme “Jingle on the Bay.” Those entering are encouraged to “be as creative as you like in making a float or any other type of entry exhibiting the theme,” said a press release from MCVIC executive director Kat Larkin.
