The deadline for contestants to turn in their entries in the Mathews Market Days poster contest is Saturday at Mathews Memorial Library, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Starting Tuesday, the public is invited to visit the library and to vote for the best interpretation of the theme “Mathews, where land and water meet.” Voting continues until the end of July, a release said.
Finally, the deadline for groups to apply for funds for Mathews Market Days grants is July 29. Oral presentations will be made Wednesday, Aug. 3 at the historic courthouse, beginning at 6 p.m.
Mathews Market Days will be held Sept. 9 and 10 on and around Mathews Court Green.
