Friday, Nov. 19 is the deadline for those interested in applying for the interim appointment on the Mathews County School Board to fill the remainder of member Jeanice Sadler’s term.

Interested applicants residing in the county are invited to complete a brief application available in the Mathews School Board Office, P.O. Box 369, 63 Church Street, Mathews, Va. 23109 or via the division website www.mathews.k12.va.us. Details of the process are listed on the application form. Applications must be received no later than 2 p.m. on Nov. 19.

The school board will hold a hearing on the applicants at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 in the Mathews High School media center. An appointment is expected to be made at the board’s Dec. 21 regular monthly meeting.
