Deacon Gladys T. White, 86, of Mathews, passed away on Sept. 3, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Shepherd F. White Sr. Other deceased family members include Michael White, Anthony White, Robert Elton Thomas Sr., and Robert Elton Thomas Jr.

She is survived by four children, Irma Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Robert Kenneth Thomas, and Chanda White; four stepchildren, Diane Griffis (Joe), Janet White, Carolyn Ann Lester (Raymond), and Shepherd White Jr. (Sebine); grandson, Tyler Coats; brother, Morris Stanley Johnson Sr. (Nancy), and a host of other family members.

A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Mathews, on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at First Baptist Church, Mathews.
