Deacon George Washington Forrest, 97, of Susan, died on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

Survivors include his daughter, Marlene Forrest-Green; his son, George Steven Forrest, and one brother, Julius C. Forrest.

A funeral will be held at noon on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Antioch Baptist Church, 110 Antioch Rd., Susan. A wake will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the church.
