DAVID WARNER BING

David Warner Bing, age 37, of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018.

He was a native of Mathews County. David enjoyed working at Hurricane Fence Company in Richmond, playing recreational soccer, putting puzzles together with his daughter Alyssa, coaching his step-daughter Devin’s soccer team, and spending time with his fiancée Ginny and the rest of his family. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  

David was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Diane Bing.

He is survived by his fiancée, Ginny Lockett; parents, Paul and Diane Bing; daughter, Alyssa Diane Bing; stepdaughter, Devin Lockett; stepson, David Lockett; sisters, Judy Emanuel (Tate) and Janet Herndon (Louis); brother, Steve Bing (Charlene); nieces, Kelly and Victoria; nephews, J.C., Lleyton, and Ellis, and father-in-law, Tom Behr.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, 160 Main Street, Mathews, Va. 23109. A service to celebrate David’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13 at Salem United Methodist Church, 1099 Salem Church Road, Diggs, Va. 23045. Interment will be private.

The family would like to thank close friend, Steve Reed, The Healing Place, and Caritas for their ongoing support throughout the years.
