David Keith Davenport of Gloucester, age 61, passed away on Dec. 30, 2017.

David was predeceased by his dad on Dec. 2, 2003, also his mother July 4, 2017.

He is survived by his wife, Candace Davenport; his brother, Joey and Lynn Davenport of Mathews; his sister, Shelia Oakley; niece, Tori Oakley; nephew, Luke Oakley of Mathews, and other nieces and nephews that are out of state. He is also survived by Uncle Howard and Aunt Bo Chandler, Uncle David and Jeannie Whitmore of Gloucester, and Aunt Eleanor Hodges of Alabama.

Up until his passing, he was employed at Newport News Shipbuilding for 36 years.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews. After the service, family and friends will meet at Bo Chandler’s home, 9223 Dutton Road.
