David Jones “Dave” Dukes, 64, of Gloucester, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at his home.

He was born at Chincoteague, Va., and was the son of the late Thomas and Eula Jones Dukes. He was employed at Tenneco Industries in the shipyard for 35 years as a boiler operator. 

He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Dukes; his children, Erin Dukes King and David Logan Dukes; his stepsons, Logan Brent Cannon and Justin Forrest Cannon, and his grandchildren, Lane King, Sean King, Keira Cannon, Fallon Cook, and Aubrie Thomas.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 6, from 1-2 p.m., with a memorial service starting at 2 o’clock.

Memorial donations may be made to either Singleton United Methodist Church or to Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society.

Andrews Funeral home & Crematory, Gloucester, was in charge of arrangements.
