David Christopher Deptola, 37, of Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at his home of natural causes.

He was born on February 27, 1979 in Port Jefferson, New York. He was a recent graduate of Rappahannock Community College.

He was a loving father and husband, and was larger than life, always willing to try new things and interested in science, space, and all of life.

He is survived by his son, Ethan Garrett Deptola of Mathews; his parents, David B. and Linda M. Deptola of Gloucester; his wife, Kristen M. Deptola of Mathews; sister, Virginia M. Deptola of Gloucester; grandparents, Dorathy L. Deptola of Gloucester, and William and Stella Loban of Holiday, Florida.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 22, 2016, from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be private.
