The Augustine Warner Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented the DAR Bronze Junior ROTC Medal to Middlesex High School senior Garrett Benedict. To receive this medal, the awardee must have shown qualities of dependability and good character, adherence to military discipline, leadership ability, and a fundamental and patriotic understanding of the importance of JROTC training. Benedict has volunteered in the community and is the first student at Middlesex High School who has attended JROTC for four years. He plans to join the U.S. Air Force after graduation and wants to go into civil engineering.
