Daniela Maria LaFata, age 50, of Hayes, died unexpectedly at her home on Dec. 31, 2020.

Born in 1970 in Brooklyn, New York, and in 1972 Daniela and her family moved to Virginia residing in Gloucester County. She worked in the restaurant business for most of her life; that included working close with her family. However, her greatest achievement in life was becoming a mother to three beautiful girls and being a grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren.

Daniela is the mother of Nadia Lyerly, Ivana LaFata, Michela LaFata; grandmother of Skylar Aurora Bridgeman, Adam Antonio Fisher; daughter of Salvatore Leone Jr. and Rosalia; twin sister of Rosa Leone Hogge; sister of Salvatore Leone III and Maurice Leone. Graveside services were private and she was laid to rest on Jan. 5, 2021. Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home.
