Dale Keith Hale, age 80, a lifelong resident of Gloucester County, passed away peacefully at her home on July 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Gloucester on August 24, 1945, Dale dedicated many years of service to the Naval Submarine Torpedo Facility in Yorktown, Virginia, where she retired in 2002 as Supply Department Manager.
Dale found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed bowling, and treasured every opportunity to spend time with her family. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, caring heart, and unwavering love for those closest to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mervin K. Hogge and Mary June Hogge, and by her beloved sister, Patricia Ann Foster. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Hale; her son, Christopher Hale, and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Hale; her sister, Anita S. Davis (Brian); her brother, Mervin “Carlton” Hogge (Debbie); along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever remember her with love. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, in the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Tom Cohick.
