Daffodils and more, to brighten our days

As our nation closes down trying to reduce the spread of COVID-19 during coronavirus pandemic, the Gazette-Journal presents photographs of beautiful bloomers submitted by our readers and staff, adding to the colorful spread in the March 26 paper. The daffodils will soon be done, but if you have more beauties of nature you can share, please send them to editor@gazettejournal.net. We all need some comfort from Mother Nature.

Virginia Evans of Gloucester took this photo of a single daffodil on March 24 in her yard.

Nature keeps going Not daffodils but tulips added their brightness to the yard of Leslie Belvin of Hayes. She said this variety is totally yellow if looking down on them, and red when closed at night. “Nature around us continues as if nothing’s going on,” Belvin said.
