The American Daffodil Society Middle Atlantic Region will hold a daylong fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 24, in Gloucester. It is open to residents across the Middle Peninsula who are interested in learning more about daffodils. The deadline to register is Thursday, Oct. 1. The festival will kick off with a pre-forum dinner and talk at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, at the Party Barn at White Hall, 5631 White Hall Road, Gloucester. The talk will be on the History of Daffodils in Gloucester, given by Jay Hutchins of Brent and Becky’s Bulbs. Supper will be drawn from the pages of the Gloucester Daffodil Club’s cookbook “Daffodils and Delicacies: Divine Dining,” which contains hundreds of recipes covering all meal courses. Saturday will be spent at the Fine Arts Museum of Gloucester, where there will be a daylong Forum Boutique and meals that will include light breakfast offerings and a luncheon with recipes once again taken from “Daffodils and Delicacies.” According to the agenda, the day wi...
