Daffodil Festival offers workshops for children, adults

The Garden Club of Gloucester plans two chances to arrange Gloucester’s famous daffodils during the Daffodil Festival to be held April 1-2. 

Arts on Main will host both the children’s workshop, Daffodils on Parade, as well as the adults’ Daffodils and Art. 

The children’s workshop, for ages 6-13, will take place from 12:30-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 1 in the back of Arts on Main at 6580 Main Street.

A release said the children will make arrangements representing floats they would like to see in the Daffodil Parade. All containers, flowers, and decorative items needed for these arrangements will be provided by the Garden Club. Parents should plan to stay with their children while they make the arrangements, the club said.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own clippers and any additional embellishments they would like to use, the release said. These arrangements are meant to be fun and a free expression of their artistic expression therefore,...
