Daffodil Club members place in state show

Gloucester Daffodil Club members attended the Virginia Daffodil Society Show held at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond on March 23 and 24. The show included 1,852 stems with 1,060 entries and 61 exhibitors in the horticulture division. The Gloucester club received hundreds of awards, including the following Special American Daffodil Society Awards.

Susan Auman took ADS Best Single Stem Historic and Best Single Stem Classics, while Peggy Bowditch took ADS Mini White Ribbon—Best Miniature 3-Stems.

Ceci Brown took home four ADS awards, for Mini Gold—Best Single Stem Miniature, Best Collection of Five Stems Historic, Best Single Stem Intermediate, and Best Intermediate 3-Stems.

Anne Earman won the ADS Delia Bankhead Award for a Collection of 9 Miniatures, as well as ADS silver for Most Blue Ribbons in Horticulture.

Marty Ross and Dan Hopkins took the ADS Best Collection of Five Stems Classics, and Dianne Spence took the ADS Best Historic 3-Stems.
