On June 11, 2025, Cyrus Fleming Rilee Jr. passed away peacefully at home in Gloucester at the age of 79. A U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran, Mr. Rilee received his Bachelor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Eastern New Mexico University. He began his professional career at KPMG in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and went on to operate Rilee & Associates, Financial Investors. He enjoyed sports, history, and genealogy.

His parents, Cyrus Fleming Rilee and Kathleen Dudley Rilee, and sisters, Janet Tavares and Kay Ohmberger, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sterling Rilee; his son, Cyrus Fleming Rilee III (Laurie), his daughter, Amanda Rilee Sayles (Andrew), and grandsons, Tommy Rilee, Ryan Sayles, and Patrick Sayles. He is also survived by brothers, Christian “Buddy” Rilee (Mary), their daughter Amy Rilee (Pauline Sullens), and Paul Rilee (Susan).

A private celebration of life will occur at a later date.
