Cyclists to return to Mathews for Tour de Chesapeake

Cyclists from across the state and beyond will be coming to Mathews later this month to take part in the 18th annual Tour de Chesapeake cycling event.

The Tour de Chesapeake, which will be held on Saturday, May 21, will include food and entertainment, as well as some of the area’s best flat, scenic cycling. The supported ride will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with four routes taking cyclists to Mobjack, Bethel Beach, New Point Lighthouse and Gwynn’s Island, totaling over 100 miles.

The big event, for both cyclists and the community, will be the Party at the Wharf and Seafood Feast at Williams Wharf on Saturday evening. There is no charge to attend, with food and drinks available for purchase.
