CWO4 Michael George Sowden of Gloucester, U.S. Coast Guard-ret. and owner of Jackie’s Grandpas Lawn Service for 20 years, passed away on October 4, 2016.

He is survived by his wife Judy; daughter, Debbie Toms and husband Ronnie, and grandchildren, Jackie, Ronnie Lee, Mikey Toms; sister, Jill Coté; brother, James Sowden, both of Canada, and many nieces and nephews.

He loved his family, his beautiful yard, and his country. 

Memorial service will be on the 5th of November at Christ Episcopal Church in Mathews, at 11 a.m.
