‘Cuddle Care Clinic’ treats ‘sick’ and ‘injured’ toys at Gloucester Library

If your child has an injured or sick doll, stuffed animal or action figure, look no further than the Gloucester Library to get his or her special friend back in tiptop shape.

The Gloucester County Public Library, Main Street Center, has been holding the weekly “Cuddle Care Clinic” since Oct. 1 of last year.

According to Lisa Thomas, Adult Programs Coordinator at the library, the toy clinic was a pre-pandemic idea but it was put on hold due to the spread of COVID-19. The library decided to hold a one-day clinic for children in October to have their toys checked for imagined illnesses, treated for injuries and screened for health problems. Clinic visits were scheduled by appointment to keep the event COVID-safe.
