The Baystars U19 Barracudas blanked the Richmond Kickers Black 2003 team, 3-0, in youth soccer action on Oct. 31 in Richmond. Bobby Cox got the team on the scoreboard with a shot that hit the crossbar, bounced on the ground and bounced in the goal.

In the second half, a misaimed header by a Kickers defender resulted in an own-goal to make it 2-0 and Brice Major scored the third goal for the ’Cudas. Goalkeeper Riley Jaquysh did an outstanding job keeping the Kickers scoreless.

Additional Barracudas’ shots on goal came from Sam Cook, Xander Howe, Trevor Johnston, Elijah Miller and Bay Wiggins. With a 5-1-1 record, the ’Cudas take on the Chesterfield Elite Blue II on Saturday to avenge their only loss of the season.
