Crowther honored with President Emeritus title

Elizabeth “Sissy” Crowther was recently received the honor of President Emeritus of Rappahannock Community College by the Virginia Community College System. She retires June 30 after serving 15 years as RCC’s president. 

The VCCS State Board praised Crowther’s dedication to elevating the school’s brand and serving the educational and workforce development needs of its 12-county service area. Several of her accomplishments include growing the school’s Educational Foundation’s assets from $1.4 to $11 million; facilitating substantial renovations at the school’s Glenns and Warsaw campuses, and establishing broad guaranteed admission agreements with state colleges.
