Crossing the finish line: A story about a determined young lady

Here’s a story that will make you smile and warm your heart.

My name is Hannah Cramer. I have had the privilege of being in charge of the Abingdon Elementary School All-Star Running Club with Savannah Weaver and Erin O’Brien for the past four years.

Every year we have students participate in the Gloucester County Daffodil Festival 2-Mile Fun Run. This year’s race, however, was a race that we will always look back on, smile, and remember how amazingly awesome we felt as one strong and determined young lady crossed the finish line.

Who is the young lady you might ask? Her name is Audrey Horn and she joined our running club at the beginning of this year. I not only have the privilege of working with her in running club, I also teach her math. Audrey is just your average fifth grader with her own set of wheels.
