Crawford Moving & Storage, Inc., recently opened a branch office on Main Street in Kilmarnock to complement its main facility in Mathews.

Joyce Crawford, who owns the business with her husband Greg, said the branch provides additional exposure for the business on the Northern Neck and nearby areas. Crawford said they plan to have moving trucks based there in the future.

The main facility in Mathews is run by the Crawfords, with assistance from Greg’s mother, Libby Crawford of Mathews. Libby started the business with her husband, the late Gordon Crawford, in 1973.

The Mathews location provides full moving and storage services, plus has a gift shop.

The Crawfords employ six people for their business. Joyce and Greg Crawford reside in Gloucester.
