Craft, collectibles shop opens at North

Impressions, a shop filled with collectibles and handmade craft and jewelry items, opened for business June 1 in a building on Route 14, North, that most recently housed a crafts shop and earlier was a mechanical business.

Barbara Dickinson of Mobjack owns the business with her daughter, Jennifer Clough, who resides in Louisa County. This is the first time they have owned a business together, although Clough offers pet sitting in her area.

Dickinson makes crafts and pillows for sale, while Clough refinishes some furniture they sell.

Besides their items, the shop sold wares from seven vendors in late June and was looking to line up additional vendors. Impressions has a showroom in front and a storage and office area to the rear. Wall and floor displays are filled with jewelry, knick-knacks, woven baskets, dishes, glassware, toys, wreaths, soaps and scrubs, flags and terra-cotta lighthouses.
