Cox partners with county to provide computers to 15 local students

Gloucester County’s Community Engagement and Public Information Department partnered with Cox Communications and Cox Charities to provide computers to 15 local students and their families.

The 15 desktop computers, monitors and accessories were provided by Cox at a total value of $1,500. The company worked through the county department to coordinate the assignment and delivery of the machines.

Gloucester County was approached by Cox Communications to provide a solution for families during the pandemic with students in the school system. Targeting students and families taking part in virtual learning that may have had an aging system or no system at all, the county department’s coordinators collaborated with principals at each of the Gloucester schools to submit the name of a family or families that they thought would be a good fit.
