Courthouse Restaurant placed on market

Gloucester’s Courthouse Restaurant on Main Street is up for sale. However, longtime owners Doug and Kim Hibbs said they are putting their faith first and letting the Lord lead them in the right direction.

According to Kim, she and her husband were talking recently and he made the comment of how quickly the past four years have gone and that he would be 70 in another four years. She said he asked her, “Do you see us still running the restaurant in another four years?”

The couple decided to pray about selling the business and spoke with local broker Wendy Hogge, who put it on the market to see what kind of feelers the couple may get on the business. “Our prayer is that God leads us to someone with the same passion as we have for the community and can just kind of step into our shoes,” Kim said.
