The Courthouse Community Orchestra will perform its first free concert of the 2026 season at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, at Rosewell Plantation, 5113 Old Rosewell Lane, Gloucester. From the comedically cheerful “Yankee Doodle” by Morton Gould to the rousing “Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa, the 43-member, all-volunteer orchestra has a spring concert program sure to stir the patriot in everyone. But the program goes beyond the patriotic to feature some toe-tapping modern-day favorites, as well, including “Pirates of the Caribbean” by Klaus Badelt and “Star Wars Epic Part I & II” by John Williams. Conducted by U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Jarrett Kocan, the orchestra will perform the same concert, free of charge, at three additional venues, as well.
