A pair of local companies has already signed on to provide some of the labor and building know-how for this year’s DIY Network’s Blog Cabin in Mathews County.

Gloucester-based Courthouse Construction has been named general contractor for the renovations, while Revere Gas will be providing and installing several pieces of propane equipment for the aging farmhouse.

According to the Do It Yourself Network’s website, Blog Cabin is a groundbreaking multimedia experience based on the input of the viewer through the DIY Network’s "blog." Expert hosts will be on hand to renovate the former Tatterson home at Susan, which was built around 1905.
