The Courthouse Community Orchestra, under the direction of Senior Airman Jarrett Kocan of the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band, is performing two free spring concerts. The first will be at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, May 24, at the Cobbs Creek Arts Center at 61 Cobbs Creek Lane in Mathews County. The second will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, at Ware Episcopal Church, 7825 John Clayton Memorial Highway, Gloucester. New musicians are always welcome to the orchestra, said a press release. The Cobbs Creek Arts Center is located in a former church and has several studios available for lease to local artists and artisans, said the release. The new facility also has a performance hall for concerts, theatrical events, and assemblies, as well as a kitchen/classroom that provides opportunities for cooking and culinary demonstrations.
