County adds new A/V equipment to courthouse

Equipment has been installed in the colonial courthouse to enhance broadcast capabilities and improve the audio system, Gloucester Community Education director Christi Lewis said.

In an Oct. 10 memorandum to County Administrator Brenda Garton, Lewis said a new projection system was installed for ease of use that provides a high-definition picture without requiring the lights. Also, new microphones were installed to provide more control options so that microphones may be turned on if a board member forgets to push the on button.

A new program guide has been formatted and added to the revolving cable Channel 48 bulletin board service to provide updated programs and times, Lewis said.

In other news, she said that over 200 volunteers are serving in the county’s elementary schools and at Peasley Middle School this term.
