Cory Jamison Brown, 38, of Gloucester, died on Friday, April 17, 2015, at Riverside Regional Medical Center.

Cory was a 1995 graduate of Gloucester High School and had attended Rappahannock Community College. He was presently employed as a loan officer. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed all sports. We were blessed to have Cory in our lives and his optimistic spirit and kind heart will continue to resonate and inspire us. He will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Fitzgerald Allen.

He is survived by his companion, Carole Crockett; brothers, D.J. Brown and Jonathan Brown and wife Breenna; father, Gary Brown; maternal grandmother, Helen Fitzgerald; aunts, Carolyn, Vickie and Beth; uncles, Bob, Deitz, J.W., Morris, Jesse, Kenny and David; niece and nephews, Katlynne, Noah, Gavin and Brayden, and a host of cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 23, 2015, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
