Corvette show to benefit the hungry

Three Corvette clubs will show Corvettes of all ages from noon-3 p.m. Sunday at the Abingdon Ruritan Club, Bena. The club is located at 8784 Guinea Road.

The club is hosting the show as a benefit for county residents, and everyone attending is asked to bring a non-perishable food or toiletry item “to help the less fortunate in our community,” said Virginia Glass, Ruritan club member. Monetary donations will also be welcomed, she said.

Taking part will be members of the Colonial Corvette, Gloucester-Mathews Covette and Northern Neck Corvette Clubs. Private Corvette owners are also invited to take part, Glass said.

“This is a great opportunity for the entire family to see new and vintage models,” Glass added.
