You see the sign in big letters posted above the glass front of Moody’s Event Center in White Marsh Shopping Center. Open the doors and you find owner Gerald Moody ready to greet you. Step into the kitchen and there is Jeffrey Scott, doing what he does best—cooking. With a smile.

After doing comedy shows for years in other locations Moody, a native of Lancaster, decided it was time to have his own place. When the opportunity arose in 2018, his dream came true at this George Washington Memorial Highway location. It’s the second business he and his wife Sabrina operate in Gloucester. They also own Moody’s Barber Shop and Salon. 

The center provides a venue for large or small gatherings up to 225 people. “We give full catering service or you can bring your own caterer.
