Cook Foundation loan to fund Arts on Main expansion

The Cook Foundation has entered into a loan agreement with Arts on Main to pay for a major renovation of the gallery space on Main Street in Gloucester.

The local 501(c)(3) arts foundation has loaned the gallery $72,000 for the purpose of major interior and exterior renovation, a release stated. The goal is to further the gallery’s vision of enriching people’s lives by providing a creative environment for the arts to flourish.

“During this challenging time of a pandemic, economic hardship, and racial tensions, the Cook Foundation board feels it is more important than ever to support the arts. This loan will allow Arts on Main to realize dramatic renovations to its existing space, enhancing exhibitions for local and regional artists and supporting the teaching of community and future artists,” said foundation president Adrianne Joseph.
