Constance “Diane” Shalaski Francis, 60, of St. Augustine, Fla., passed away on Nov. 8, 2015.

Born in Painesville, Ohio, raised in Williamsburg, Va., she moved further south to Georgia and Florida where she lived the past 40 years enjoying the warmth of sunshine and the magnificence of the ocean.

Con was devoted to God and our Holy Mother. She loved family and friends with her whole heart and showered others with her sparkling zest for life and adventurous spirit.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo Shalaski of North Carolina.

She is survived by her father, Ronald L. Shalaski and wife Ann; uncles, Thomas Bandy and Richard Keogh; sisters, Joanne Archie (Jo) and Karen Durant (Kiki) and husband Ron; brothers, Thomas Shalaski (Kay) and Shawn Shalaski (Lisa); nieces, Jessica and Gracelyn; nephews, Alexander, Tyler, Dalton, David and Andrew; her beloved cat, “Boo,” and many close friends.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Dec. 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Therese (the Little Flower) Roman Catholic Church, 6262 Main Street, Gloucester, Va. 23061. The Rev. James Cowles will officiate.
