Consociate Media, a Gloucester-based public relations, media management and consulting firm, has been named one of the 2022 Best Places to Work in Virginia by Virginia Business magazine and Best Companies Group, earning the highest ranking among small businesses in the Hampton Roads region.

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. The 2022 Best Places to Work in Virginia list is made up of 100 companies—20 large companies (more than 250 employees), 18 midsize companies (100-249 employees) and 62 small companies (up to 99 employees). Consociate Media celebrated its 10th anniversary in business in 2021.

The firm was founded by managing partner Stephanie Heinatz, who initially worked from her dining room table when the company started in 2011. Today, it has a staff of 15 with an office at The Shops at Tidemill, Gloucester Point.
