Concerts Friday, Saturday at Flat Iron Crossroads

Flat Iron Crossroads’ free fall concert series continues again this weekend with a performance by folk-rock fusion singer Mark Rogers at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

A Virginia native, Rogers started his musical career as a songwriter in Los Angeles in the early 1980s. He had a musical rebirth around 2015, and the folk-rock harmonies he had loved writing three decades before he re-emerged. He has now cut his second album, “Rhythm of the Roads.”

Doors open at 5 p.m. with the FIX Bar and AR Smokehouse food truck. Free tickets can be reserved at flatironcrossroads.com.

Saturday concert

The Celeste Kellogg Band will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Kellogg is a small-town Virginia girl who has had some acting success while also pursuing a career as a singer/songwriter/guitarist and CMA/Nashville recording artist.Kellogg was named Nashville Universe’s Female Vocalist of the Year in 2018.
