The concert for the Judy Ward Scholarship will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church.
A free-will offering will be taken to benefit the annual scholarship that is given by the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad in memory of Judy Ward, MVRS volunteer and choir leader of the church. She died in 2010.
Participants will include Michelle Thacker, Lynda Greve, Kim Person, David Shuber, Robin Powell, John Drummond, Gary Hudgins, Katherine Murphy, Autumn Jenkins, Presley Murphy, Richard Callis, Isabella Hudgins, Tyrone Hudgins, Island Praise, and the Gwynn’s Island Baptist Choir.
