Middle Peninsula residents are invited to help shape the future of regional transportation by participating in the 2026 MidPenRideShare Commuter Survey. The brief 25-question online survey is open and will remain available through April 30. Participants who complete the survey may opt to be entered into a drawing for a $250 VISA gift card. Take the survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/M7H9ZHL. The survey builds on previous regional research that highlighted ongoing transportation challenges across the Middle Peninsula. The region continues to have one of the highest out-commute rates in Virginia, with approximately 73-77 percent of the workforce traveling outside the Middle Peninsula for employment each day, a release stated.
