Community tent revival held at Salem UMC

Well over 100 people gathered nightly last week for a Community Tent Revival that was hosted by Salem United Methodist Church, Diggs. The three-night interdenominational, community-wide worship celebration began with a free cookout last Wednesday and continued each evening through Friday.

Praise and worship included a Mathews Community Choir, led by Lynda Greve, and included over two dozen people representing several local churches. Other musical talent that was featured included the Emmanuel United Methodist Church’s Men’s Choir and the Women’s Trio; the “Salem UMC & Friends Praise Team,” the Kingston Episcopal Parish Choir and others.
