SUNSET ON THE STEPS: Machicomoco State Park, Hayes, will hold its Sunset on the Steps from 8-8:30 p.m. tomorrow, May 26, at the park’s Interpretive Area. Explore some of Machicomoco’s best views during golden hour while stopping in to talk with a ranger about some of their favorite park topics. This event will also be held June 9 and 24.

MARKET: The Mathews Farmers’ Market will be open every Saturday through October from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the Historic Court Green, with the exception of Mathews Market Days.

MILITARY MEMORABILIA: The Mathews Historical Museum will team with the Retired Officers of Mathews County Association (ROMCA) to present a memorabilia display over the Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday through Monday, open to the public at no charge. The display will include items representing ROMCA members’ military service during the past 75 years. There will be a ROMCA member present for ...
