Laban correspondent reports that we are very glad to hear of the probability of the public schools of this district being improved in near future. Prof. Russell gave a very touching appeal to the people of this community on the all-important subject of education a few nights ago. The address was very much enjoyed by all present, and at the close a School Improvement League was organized, which we hope will mean a great deal in making a splendid school in Bethel.
Mr. R.B. White’s little infant son is very sick at this writing.
We are glad to report Mr. Joseph Diggs, who has been suffering with a severe attack of pneumonia, very much improved, having been skillfully treated by Dr. White.
